Long Story Short

At the turn of the Twentieth Century, America was plagued with all kinds of problems from political corruption to tainted meat. A new group of Idealistic reformers were pushing for change to bring about a better America. The Progressive Era tackled every social injustice imaginable. Women gained the right to vote, child labor outlawed, slums cleared, and prohibition tried (and failed) to put an end to America's alcoholic ways. These struggles could be long and bitter but in the end America was forced to come to terms with the darker side of the industrial revolution.
